Über mich
Als Maler und Zeichner in einer Linie mit den Traditionen der akademischen bildenden Kunst, widme ich mich einem breiten Themenspektrum mit der selbst gestellten Aufgabe, Schönheit im Sinne eines zeitlosen, klassischen Ideals sichtbar zu machen. Licht, Farbe, Komposition und allem voran die Form der menschlichen Figur sind entscheidende Faktoren und stehen im Zentrum meiner Arbeit.
Nach einem Architekturstudium und anderen Umwegen u.a. in Spanien, studierte ich schließlich was mich seit meiner Kindheit anzog: Malerei. Mit Beendingung meines Studiums und Diplom im Jahr 2010 an der Burg Giebichenstein in Halle/Saale, zog es mich nach Leipzig, wo ich zwölf Jahre lebte und und im eigenen Atelier arbeitete. Seit 2023 lebe und wirke ich in der Metropolregion Dresdens. In meinem Fokus stehen die schönen Dinge des Lebens. Weil ich mich sehr schnell langweile, male ich das komplette Spektrum an Themen: Portrait, Figurenkomposition, Stadt und Landschaft. Öl, Aquarell, Tusche und Rötel sind meine täglichen Begleiter. Die anspruchsvolle Secco- und Freskomalerei sind nach einigen Italienaufenthalten unaufhaltsam zu meiner Arbeit hinzugekommen. Es ist ein sehr aufwändiger Arbeitsprozess, der mit ganz anderen visuellen Ergebnissen belohnt, als es aktuell übliche Wandmalsysteme könnten. Hinzu kommt, daß Wände diffusionsoffen bleiben, d.h. die Poren werden nicht von undurchlässigen Farbschichten verklebt, sondern bleiben durchgängig für die Luftfeuchte, was sich in einem ausgesprochen gesunden Wohnklima äußert. Wenn Gebäude und Malerei richtig zusammenspielen, kann die Malerei Jahrhunderte überdauern.

About me
I am a painter and draftsman, living and working near Dresden, Germany. I was born and raised in a provincial town nearby, in a region called Saxony. As long as I can remember, I felt drawn to painting. However, after school, I started studying architecture and then worked in the profession for a few years in Hamburg. While I quickly realised it wasn’t the right thing for me, it took me a few detours before I finally did study painting. The trigger was a study visit to Andalucia, Spain. I worked part-time in an architectural office and painted during my spare time. Back in Germany, I continued to do exactly that until I became a full-time painter at the end of my studies. I still am a full-time painter today.
My focus is on the beautiful things in life. Because I get bored very quickly, I paint the entire spectrum of subjects: portraits, figure compositions, cities and landscapes. I avoid repeating myself. Variations rarely find their way into my work. I always try to make my paintings different. My works should correspond to an aesthetic ideal. They should be beautiful. Light, color, composition and above all the form of the human figure are very decisive factors.
I regularly post updates on my work progress and artistic side projects on Instagram, Facebook and in my Behind the Scenes section. Generally speaking, my website presents a representative cross-section of my work to date. Over the years, I have created an extensive body of work that would be impossible to display in its entirety online.
Last year I added secco and fresco painting to my range of services. Although the painting process is quite time-consuming, it is very rewarding, as the results are completely different from those achieved with conventional panel and wall painting systems. In addition, walls remain diffusion-open, i.e. masonry pores are not sealed but remain permeable to air humidity, which results in a healthy living environment. I have listed a few examples under ARBEITEN/PORTRAIT.
Another advantage of fresco painting is its durability. When construction and painting work together properly, the painting can last for thousands of years.
